Additional Services.
They relate to a straightforward project procured in the traditional manner and are
described in simple terms.
The Schedule of Services for the Standard form is more comprehensive to reflect
a more complex project. This allows the Architect/Consultant to specify the
architectural roles that are to be performed, including any to be performed by
Subconsultants employed directly by the Architect/Consultant. A list of standard
roles is included but any other roles required in addition to those defined in the
RIBA Plan of Work 2013 can be added.
The schedules do, however, exclude the role of Principal Designer as set out in the
CDM Regulations 2015, who should be appointed under a separate and distinct PSC
such as the RIBA Principal Designer Professional Services Contract 2018.
2.3 Electronic formats and online tools
All the RIBA Professional Services Contracts 2018 are based on a traditional form
of procurement and are available in a digital format as well as in print. The electronic
versions are less expensive, more convenient for sharing with the client, more flexible
and more easily tailored to the project than the printed versions.
The forms can be completed digitally at www.ribacontracts.com, which includes
guidance on the use of online forms, copyright, terms and conditions, etc.
